Hey My friends.
Well the weekend is over and not much went on. I stayed up late watching the Olympics and Sunday I was groggy all day. It’s been hot as hell here but rain is on the way. To be honest all it’s going to do is make it hotter than it already is. Can you say Humidity? Still After this depression we have been going through it’s good to see some relief. I don’t care what folks say we are going through a recession. Good news is I bought fuel today for $3.46 a gallon. Who would have thought that $3.50 would be a bargain? Oh well. Not much we can do about it since the oil companies run every thing.

Last week was interesting indeed. Tropical Storm Edouard and the day of rain after that as well. That was one of those days that I needed to be on an island with a cool relaxing drink. I loved the Grand Cayman Island. If I even win the lotto that will be one of my vacation destinations once a year to spend a good month or so there. I really enjoyed my cruise there. I’m looking forward to doing that again soon. Well not much else to tell here as it’s only the start of the week. So until fingers meet keys all have a good one and looking forward to chatting with you all soon.

Edouard

Hello My Friends.
Well its day after Edouard and the city is still getting rain from its remnants. We survived the storm yesterday as the news was really making it out to be a bad storm but me being a native Houstonian and been through a few of these well I wasn’t to worried, However folks that have never been tough one and listening to the news I can see why folks would be panicking. One channel would say one thing and the other would say another all a while scaring folks. This I do know I never want to go through what we had to with Rita. That wasn’t pretty at all not to mention the folks who lost their lives because of the heat and traffic jams. We had decided to ride it out but the storm never really hit us. Another thing if the storm is coming from Louisiana, why in the hell would you be driving towards a storm to avoid it knowing these things are not predictable. My ass would be seeking high grounds for sure. Still Edouard turned out to be nothing more than a tropical storm as we badly needed the rain. Today it’s a little cooler in the city as the scattered showers continue from it but for the most part things are good and only tree deaths due to it and that was from poor visibility on the road which resulted in a head on collision. Over all the city looks good and things are back to normal. I can tell it’s a lot cooler today than expected but it’s a matter of time and we’ll be back up to the upper nineties again. So until fingers meet keys all have a good one.
