Mardi Gras Ball Weekend, I GOT LAID!

Hello All
Looking at the dates I can see it’s been some time since I’ve written here but WOW what a weekend I had. Most fun I’ve had in a long time and even better that my good friend Pete flew down to spend it with me. Yes I got laid and it wasn’t just one time. To recap the weekend Friday took the day off to start my weekend to prepare for the Mardi Gras Ball in Lafayette Louisiana. Rained most of the day but Pete’s plane was on time and I was there on time to pick him up despite the bad traffic jams due to the weather and it being a Friday. I did leave in plenty of time as I was afraid that was going to happen. However I did have some panic moments. Once I picked Pete up we drove downtown to tour some of the city at night and of course we passed thought the gay district and I had to Show him the famous Enron Buildings. One can’t see the city in couple of days but I managed to squeeze in as much as I could. Since it was raining most of the night, vision wasn’t well enough to really see things from the vehicle windows. I’m sure he will be back so we can explore the city even more. I love telling about Houston as it does make me proud to be a native. Plus he would see more of it as he would have to pass by the city on the way to Louisiana. After that quick tour we had to pick up our Tux’s for the Mardi Gras Ball. I have to give my tailor credit as he fit me to a T. Pete had to have some adjustments to his but they did it on the spot and we were off. Looking at Pete all dressed up I thought to myself, “He dresses up very nicely and was happy he would be escorting me to the Ball.” He didn’t look bad in regular clothes either, and that sexy walk he has, I could watch him all day. Soon as we left there we went to get something to eat. Poor thing was starving as they were suppose to serve him a meal on the plane but they didn’t. All he had were two bags of nuts so didn’t want him passing out on me at any point or staving for that matter. He wanted to try some of Houston Great Mexican Food he had heard about but we ended up going to TGI-Fridays as it was next door to the Men’s Warehouse and he was ready to eat. Can’t let a guest stave so I got him fed, once our bellies were full we went to the house. Brandon was home as Pete already knows my feeling on him. Still Pete was hoping to meet him as he wanted to have some in site on why I felt so this way about this young man in which I haven’t had good words for him but he’s a guest of my brothers in the house so I will respect that. Either way, Brandon ended up leaving for the evening as Pete and I made ourselves comfortable in the house. I didn’t know what he would think of the house as I don’t have many guests over. Still he was impressed and loved the place. We ended up watching Norbit and of course after that we really got acquainted. Needless to say we didn’t sleep much once we went to bed but it was enough to get us rested to travel the next day.

All I can say about Pete after our first night together is. “He’s All That a Bag of Chips and A Coke.” He says he felt equally of me as well.

He was worried that I wouldn’t approve of him but that was farthest from my mind. He’s a very loving and caring man. Passion is a small word for it. I was looking forward to the rest of the weekend indeed. I guess our worried of each other went out the door as I was worried he would feel the same about me as either. Funny how things work themselves out.

Saturday morning gave Pete a wake up call that he would surely remember then got our selves ready to take off for Louisiana. While on the computer I usually play music to help pass my time, Pete came in to check on me and he enjoyed the music that was play so I got up and we had a dance moment. I really enjoyed that as it’s been a long time since I’ve danced with some one that close. Pete has some moves and who would have thought he love to dance. Then again I kind of knew that as he was grooving to the music while we were waiting on his Tux to be altered at the Men’s Warehouse the day before. We had a three to four hour drive ahead of us so we needed to leave Houston by noon to check into the hotel before six. It was a beautiful day for a drive but cold indeed on top of windy. The HHR although is a stable vehicle it still had its moments on the road from the high winds. Although some would call me the black speed racer not once did I have to white knuckle the wheel. I was afraid I would scare Pete with my driving but he never flinched or squirmed. He was a great copilot and navigator as I called him. I counted two Texas Highway patrolman (Batmen as we call them) and five of the local counties finest in force. We didn’t see many when we crossed over into Louisiana. We stopped to get a little Lunch since we missed Breakfast, (Hummm I wonder why) Also stopped at the Visitors Center in Louisiana when we crossed the state line to pick up a visitors guide. Sine we had the four hours in the vehicle we had a change to talk and catch up on one another. We made it to Lafayette shortly after four and checked into the hotel. Hotel was nice for a three point three star hotel. I have to say when I return I will stay there again. After settling in we headed over to Bryan and Kenny’s as Bryan asked me to call him once he arrived in town. Kenny is the out going King for the Mardi Gras Ball in which we were attended later that night. They had house guest there so we made some new friends in the process. Both Kenny and Bryan looked great but were tired as they were setting up the hall yesterday and rehearsal earlier in the day. When we left Pete said I had some wonderful friends which made my chest stick out. Bryan and Kenny were impressed with Pete as well and are very gracious host and I do love them dearly, they are very good friends. Bryan was very impressed with Pete. Then again Bryan is very nice looking as well. Dress him up in black and a hat and he favors Tim McGraw. Pete and I left as Kenny and Bryan needed to get ready on top of being at the Hall by six thirty. Doors didn’t open until eight and the ball starts at nine. Pete and I decided we would go get something to eat before the ball as last year they didn’t serve dinner so I didn’t want him to be hungry through out the Ball. Later we got dressed and there was a problem with Pete’s shirt. The neck was too big which made his shirt buckle when we put the tie on him but we managed to make it look presentable. Got to the Ball, had our picture taken got him a drink to help relax but he didn’t need it. Pete is as cool as a cool breeze. I made sure he was included in the conversations when I introduced him to a few folks I knew from last years ball as I didn’t want him to feel left out or like he was standing on the outside looking in. Getting close to the start of the ball we found our seats and I got a Visit from Will who to my surprise showed up. To be honest, neither me nor Bryan thought he would make it as we had been let down by him many of times in the past. It was kind of an awkward moment as I really didn’t think he was going to show up. I introduced him to Pete and had a chat with him as well. I didn’t meet his escort as that was the last I saw of him for the night. He looked great as I think he said he’s lost a little over 50 pounds now as I hardly recognized him when he approached me.

The Ball went off without a hitch and Pete enjoyed the evening as well as I which was good as I didn’t know if he would have a good time or not, Him grooving in his chair from time to time said other wise. He said he was impressed to the time and effort that went into putting on a show like that. Coffee our announcer was fabulous as always. This year’s theme for the ball was The Toy Factory as it topped last year’s production as far as dance and more of a show case, but I have to say last years party was off the hook. When the ball was over Pete and I made our way to the hotel, as it wasn’t far from the Hall, to change and then went over to Bryan and Kenny’s place for a small get together or drinks and reminisce over the evenings events. Pete and I left their home about two in the morning and went straight to bed. (And it wasn’t the kind of going to bed as we were tired from the drive as well as the day in general)

SUNDAY we slept in late. Still dragging from the night I gave Pete one of my famous massages as he enjoyed that very much. He even thought I did it professionally as I was knocking the kicks out of his muscles. He said he was so relaxed he was actually going back to sleep. We didn’t play around as we had to be out of the hotel by eleven. Once we were clean, fresh and awake we checked out and headed to Houston. Even with the stops which included the Texas Visitors Center for a guide we made it back to Houston in three hours. I think I saw four cops on the way in but we were so deep in conversation I hardly noticed. Returned the Tux’s and we took off to get something to eat as we missed Breakfast and Lunch. We had a big dinner and then toured more of the city with what sun light we had left. Got back home and Pete printed out his boarding pass for his flight home as it was a symbol of our time together was about to end soon, then we lounged around the living room watching television. Pete finally got to meet my brother when he returned from our parent’s home. Pete thought he was a very nice man and could see the resemblance between us. Didn’t play around that night as Pete developed a pounding headache, we kept the house warmer than he’s use to back home in which I think contributed to that. He had a rough night sleeping as well. I had some Benadryl on hand and gave it to him. He had a restless night but managed as the Benadryl started to work and relieve his symptoms. He was worried he would pass off his cough to me but I had yet to develop any symptoms.

Come MONDAY morning, MLK B-Day and a holiday day as well Pete was doing much better and of course we had our goodbye morning session. He told me the whole weekend seems like a blur as it went by so fast as I would have to agree. We got up early as I had to have him at the airport to catch his flight by ten. Because it was a holiday there wasn’t much traffic on the roads and we made it there in more than enough time. It was a sad drive for me indeed as I hated to see him leave and although he wasn’t here long I miss him in the house. I’ll have to make plans to go up that way for sure, but only after it warms up. This black child doesn’t care fro their winters at all. He called me after his planed landed to let me know he made it safe and said it was colder than a cow’s tit up there. Once I dropped him off I came home and went back to bed as I needed a rest myself.

Over all it was a very good weekend and looking forward to the next one. I did invite him back the announcement party November but that’s still a long ways off so we’ll see. I really like Pete but the distance between me and him meaning the states at this point we both agree that we can’t be more than friend with benefits. He’s not opposed to not moving so that could give one hope still I’m being realistic about it. So until fingers meet keys all have a good one and let’s hope it doesn’t take me this long to write in here again. Hugs to you all.
