Small Work Week

Hello My Friends.

I hope all had a good weekend as it’s been one weekend for me. My nephew was placed in the hospital again for his diabetes. I’m still trying to get over why he can’t get his act together as he knows this is his life. However I say I wash my hands of it but deep down I am concerned. My nephew is one who is a follower and not a leader at all. Hell the kid is just weird. Well I shouldn’t say kid as he’s twenty years old but it’s a long story with him. I’m all for one to find themselves and lead their lives but he’s one who can’t live independently as he won’t take care of his health issues. So now he’s in ICU as they try to get him stable. No telling what kind of damage he’s doing to his body but he’s an adult, not responsible but and adult non the less. Then again enough of that.

Had to have brakes placed on my father’s truck and thanks for all you inquire about him. He’s doing well. Next month he has a Birthday and an anniversary. Forty seven years of marriage. February is usually a rough month for me as my mother’s BD, Valentines day, Dad’s BD, Their anniversary, and three other friend in that month as well. Kind of nerve racking but I get through it. Got my things in order for my trip this weekend and looking forward to it as well. I have a photo shoot that weekend as well. So all will be good. Was suppose to have one this weekend but the model was still out of town on business. Will catch you on a future weekend.

It’s really been cold here and suppose to be cold all week as well. However it was nice enough to venture to the auto show this Monday as I took the day off. The show wasn’t as much as I expected or anything like of past but was good to get out and do something. Me and my best friend Steve ventured the three hours of the show. Normally it would have been me and my ex with the kids for and outing but he and I are no longer and he’s in jail as well still awaiting trial. I’m only working three days this weekend due to the Ball. Looking forward to seeing Will again as well. It should be a really fun evenings. I’m told its sold out and there will be over 750 in attendance. Well that’s about it for now as I need to get off here and get to work. Nerves

Hello My Friends.
Hope all are doing well as I’m doing ok. Just a lot on my mind these days is all. So much so I forgot to do some things at work and didn’t realize it until I was halfway home. I wasn’t about to turn around and go back so I suffered the consequences when I got to work today. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but enough to start a small headache. Then again I don’t think it’s just me as a few other staff around here are having headaches as well. My father is having eye surgery tomorrow as it’s going to be a long day tomorrow. 6AM comes very early that’s the time he has to be there. So since we live about thirty minutes away I’ll need to be heading down there about five thirty in the morning. Just in time to beat the traffic. After his surgery it’s to dialyses for him as well. Good thing my mother will be off as she can pick him up while I go into a comma.

Recapping my weekend, there really isn’t much to talk about. Did dinner with a friend and worked on my project again. Second issue coming along well. However I just remembered I was suppose to email a couple of folks and will need to get on that here very soon. With all that’s going on I really haven’t been myself. However I am looking forward to the Ball next week. Sunday I just relaxed as I was exhausted from the previous week. My father just has way to many doctors appointments. It seems I’m the only one who gets a good understanding of what the doctors are telling them. So guess who’s elected to go. It’s all good as I’ve said before they raised me so now it’s my duty to take care of them. Auto show this weekend and I’ll be going twice. Me and my brother make it your yearly outing together to do so. Then I’m going on Monday with my best friend Steve so I can get some pictures for the publication. Other than that not a lot going on so until fingers meet keys I hope all are having good week as I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you all again soon. Hugs.

Friday 19. Just one of those Days

Hello Friends.
Hope all are doing well. Here in Houston the weather as been crazy however still cold out but not freezing rain in the forecast. I’ve heard some folks say there rather be cold than Hot as they can always layer to keep warm then again I guess I don’t care for either. Why couldn’t my parents live in a climate that’s perfect all the time? Is there such a place? Yesterday Thursday wasn’t a good day for me as I had to get up way earlier than I’m normally use to and take my father to yet another doctors appointment. Doctor says he’s looking good and his eyes are clearing up nicely. However he has to go back to the doctor on Monday to be cleared so he can do the eye surgery next Wednesday. I’m taking that day off that day as he has to be there at six in the morning. There is not way I’ll last the day at work after about four hours of sleep. Moving my father has become a chore in itself. He’s still able to get around on his own power but its getting to the point he doesn’t like to walk on his own power. Makes me wonder what’s going to happen to me when I get around his age. Especially being one who doesn’t have kids. Then again not having kids doesn’t necessarily mean they will take care of me either. In the meantime I will do what I can to take care of him in his retirement years.

Got up this morning and it started off to be a good day but shortly after I got to work I hurt my back again. Nothing that would send me to the house but it’s been uncomfortable today for sure. My work wife gave me some meds to take for it and it worked some but I’m still a little uncomfortable. Just been a bad day all around since I got here. Dropped a coke on the floor and of course it burst and went all over my pants. Lucky I wore black pants today so it’s not showing at all. However hope no dogs will be out licking my pants legs on the way out the door. Friday and home visits for the kids. I’ve been turned every which way today as it seems my presents were needed just about everywhere. Now I know what Michael Jackson means when he said it makes you want to scream. I even went off on one of my supervisors as two had the nerve to call me while I was eating dinner to do a job that I wasn’t getting paid for. One thing you don’t do while I’m eating is call me to come do something as that’s my time and I wasn’t about to move. I told him to write me up if he wanted to but I wasn’t moving. I’ve been in this business to long to play those games. Save that for these new boots that are diving up here. I’m not the one for sure.

Blowing that over my head I have nothing really planned this weekend however will be a very busy man. Will’s birthday is on Sunday and I would love to be there with him to give him something he can feel but that’s not possible right now. However I have been sending Birthday cards all week so he’ll have a smile from ear to ear. I’ll give him a call on Sunday as well. He’ll be in town next Thursday as well as he’s having the lap band procedure done. Me I like him the way he is but as I many have mentioned he wants to do it and not because he wants to loose the weight but health wise as well. So it’s all good. W2’s were released today so I can get my income taxed done next week. All of it’s going towards getting my vehicle fixed. LORD knows I’m ready to have it back up and running. Pop’s truck is good for a spare vehicle but not an everyday driver. Not to mention it cost me twenty dollars less to operate my vehicle than it would my dad’s. Auto show will be here in two weeks and I’m looking forward to that as well. As I mention nothing special going on this weekend. So with that I’ll say hoe all have a good weekend and looking forward to hear from you all again soon. Since I can’t chat anymore during the week from work I have to play catch up on the weekend. A few of you have been sick due to the weather but I do wish you all a speedy recovery as well. MLK Day

Hello My Friend.

Hope all are doing well and had a great weekend as well. Mine was restful as well as good. Busy too. Laundry, house work and project, Saturday I was suppose to do dinner with my best friend for his belated Birthday but he didn’t make it back in time from his second home in Moscow, Texas that he’s trying to sale. Not to mention he has three tractors for his business and since it was coming a freeze he needed add antifreeze to them before they have some issues. One already did as it had a cracked top hose on it all ready so he’s got to replace that one as well. Went and got fitted for my Tux for the Mardi Gras ball in February. Black double breasted with Silver vest and Bow tie. I should stand out in the crowd for sure. Then again I wouldn’t be hard to find and since I’ll be sitting at the guess of honor table. My hotel reservations are set and all I need to do is rent the vehicle for the drive over. I’m looking forward to seeing the guys again as well. Have a photo shoot the day after the Ball and taking and taken some extra days off to recuperate as I’m sure I’ll need it. Will says he will be there to be my escort so we’ll see. Bryan, One of the models of the premier issue tells me a few guys would like to talk with me as well so maybe more shoots schedule as well. I did find out that someone I have been chatting with for sometime now will be at Texas Bear Round Up so it will be a great opportunity to do a shoot him as well.

Surprising Saturday was a gloomy day with a little rain here and there. My friends in Dallas have been reporting freezing rain and all and there have been a few accidents up there. Sunday no rain in my area and again it was warm most of the day as one would never know a front was come through. That quickly changes while I was out to dinner with another good friend of mind. Had a wonderful time as usual, although the Lumen and Teriyaki chicken were good it wasn’t agreeing with me to well and giving my stomach some fierce issues. Then again it may have been the ice cream we had afterward helping it out too. Don’t take to well to mike but the Key Lime cream was wonderful dressed up with walnuts and waffle cup. Either way it was blowing me up something good by the time I got home. However today I had some left over from Sunday night and I’m having the same affect so one can only wonder. Over all it was a lovely evening and it was good to see my friend again.

Today is MLK day and I have to work yet again. However want the time for all my travels this year. Next holiday is Good Friday for us and I’m not talking that one off either. Good news is I have a few guys scheduled for shoots as I’m getting close to completing the second issue. I should hear from the printers here any day now so all happy about that. I’ll give them a call soon to see how far long they are and when to expect them. Weather did stop the Parade or the run this morning. It rained for about and hour as I was on my way to work be as I got close to my job it soon stopped. Temp really dropping as I’m reaching the end of my shift, mid thirties now and Houstonians are not use to that at all. So far no ice on the road and after tonight we’ll know if we’ll be in the clear. I’ve only heard of one accident today as I was making my way into work. Heater on my father’s pickup wasn’t working to well and my dad said I needed to put some water in the radiator. Sure enough I went and checked it and it was low. I guess he knows his vehicle even though he doesn’t drive it anymore. He has a Doctors appointment tomorrow as well so I’ll be late to work with him and that tomorrow. Oh the wonders of FMLA. It’s a mother for sure. Then again I’m just doing my duty to take care of him so it’s all good. Well the drive home wasn’t scary at all but I hear Tuesday night might be as the rains are suppose to come. We’ll have to see. Ok that’s about it for today so until fingers meet keys I hope all are well and that you had a wonderful weekend. I know I did. I do chatting with a few of you but blame that on the job. Hump Day, As It Was One Of Those Days

Hello My Friends.

It’s Hump day and it’s not been a good one at all. Just one of those days is all. Was late to work about ten minutes which was no big deal but then some guys were there working on the servers at the job and next thing I know I wasn’t able to get onto Bear411. Bummer as I knew it would be coming sooner or later. I guess they are welcoming us to a new year. Now I will have to find a new way to pass my down time at work. I guess I’ll be more productive on my project with all the extra time on my hands. Found out later on one of our sister facilities was going to send us six of their kids to work in a special program we have set up at my facility. However today isn’t a scheduled day so I wasn’t in a good mood for sure as I knew those kids wouldn’t arrive until seven or eight tonight in which they did. Seven thirty to be exact. I didn’t get paper work until eight thirty and was leaving at nine so needless to say the kids didn’t get fully processed. I’ll complete their files when I get there tomorrow. Guess I’ll be going in early tomorrow after I take my father to his doctor appointment in the morning. May he’s killing me with then. One for every week of this month.

I called my Ex’s Mother today as he asked me check in on here in his letter. So far she’s going fine. Says she’s going to get married again to the man she’s been living with. Took something like this to make her change her mind to go ahead and do it I guess. Also found out she was in the hospital for about a week as it was over whelming for her. Still she’s sticking by her son. I still have mixed emotions about it but I won’t abandon him as a friend. He’s asked if would come see him but there again I have mixed emotions as well. This I do know I won’t get caught in that trap of feeling sorry for him and wanting to help him when I know it won’t go anywhere at all. I see no future for us at all. His mother also says they offered him a plea bargain, of four to fifteen years. He’s got a court appointed lawyer but he’s yet to meet him from what I hear. Again it sounds like he’s going to get railroaded on this for sure. His mother did fill in some of the pieces that were missing as well. The kids seem to be in good hands as she reported so I won’t worry myself over that. I do miss them but don’t really know his in laws to well so it’s best I stay away from them for awhile. I also heard he bought a new van so the kids would be comfortable as the old one was on it last legs.

I called Allen my old friend Monday as it was his Birthday as well as Elvis’s too. He was doing well as I haven’t seen in a while. I need to get over there and see the new pool he put in as well. I man have to show case the place in one of my publications to see what 1.5 million will buy you. All I know is I had some great times there as well as him throwing some great parties. He’s always had some great places and this one is right across from a grave yard. NOW YOU KNOW! However the way the house is build you hardly notice it across the street. He has a Doctorates but rather work with his construction company instead. I’ll have to tell you more on him at a later time of maybe he will allow me to tell his story in one of my publication as well. We’ll see. He tells me he’s looking at a Landrover as well since he’s up in the age I would figure this would be his last vehicle he will own. Actually he’s talking about leasing this one which could be a good deal for him as well. Got to talk to Keith is personal assistant as well as he and I go way back. He’s kind of line in the same boat I’m in of having a lover go to prison. His lover got caught up with Drugs and just couldn’t get his act together. What’s so strange about it is he never did it until a few years ago. Was doing well in business but I guess the pressure got to him and once he started he want down hill from there. I think the difference between me and Keith is he and his lover had a future before and Alan tells me after a year of searching for a job to put him back on track it’s finally happen. So at least here is a happy ending to their story. Middle age and trying to find a job it’s not easy that’s for sure. One of the reasons why I’m starting the business as I won’t be one of those men standing in the doorway of Wal-Mart say, “Welcome to Wal-Mart.”

I’m all set for the Ball in February. Will get fitted for my Tux this weekend and made my reservation for the hotel as well. I will rent a care to drive over since my vehicle is still out of commission. I still don’t know if I have a date of not as it’s still be up in the air. He says he will be there and I will have to take him for his word. Then again I hear the committee hasn’t received any funds from him for his ticket so again we shall see. I’ll enjoy myself once it gets on the way. Bryan my friend over there says there are some folks looking to meet me and talk to me as well. So that will be good to get to know a few folks and P.R. as well. Going to line up some photo shoots while I’m there as I need two more models for issue number two. I have one lined up here in Houston at the end of January which should be fun to do. Need to get all the photo shoots out of the way so I can concentrate on the rest of the projects. Project at the printers and I feel it’s off to a good start for a premier issue. I have a lot of good ideas to bring to the table and hope they are well received. Well that’s about it for now as I need to hit the bed so I can get up early in the morning. First Week Of The New Year

Howdy My Friends.

Well we’re into a week of the New Year and I have been a busy young man for sure. Recapping the week, Thursday my father had and eye appoint men where the doctor was suppose to inject his eye with something to clear the blood out of his eyes. Well that didn’t happen as the pressure in his eyes were way to high so the doctor said he needed to stop the bleeding in the eyes first before he does that. So what started off as a routine office visit ended up being close to and either hour ordeal from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. By the time I got him home and fed it was 4:30 PM and needless to day I was best as he couldn’t see well and I had to guide him where he needed to go which is kind of hard when he’s on a walker and he’s depending on you to guide him. Still we managed. However I went off on my mother non intentionally in the front yard as I’m trying to get him in the house and she’s giving orders in the background. It already frustrating for him that he couldn’t see well and totally depended on me to guide him to the front door. She wasn’t making it easy and all I was hearing was something muffled in the background. I did apologize later on. It was close to Five that evening by the time I got home and I wasn’t about to fight traffic to go to work especially with a sinuses headache and scratchy throat. So I went home and laid it down for the evening as I had to be back there the next day to have the pressure in his eyes changed again which was good and only missed two hours of work this time.

Friday at work I had to get the paper work ready for an intake I received on Friday. I did but I wasn’t feeling well at all. For some reason I was hot and then cold most of the day. I actually had to come out of my tie and unbutton my top button on my shirt. Fold said I didn’t look well and I didn’t feel well either. One said I look like the cat drug me in. Plus I wasn’t eating much and they know how I love my food (so much so, as a matter of fact when they see me eating food they call it my friends) so they knew something was wrong. Still I muddled though the day and made it home in the foggy weather. I hadn’t seen fog like that in a while. However with all this crazy weather we’ve been having it shouldn’t surprise me. Today I had to attend the second of six meetings I have a month. Since I was making the trip over there I was going to making it worth my while and get four hours in for the day and get some paper work. I live 45 miles away and driving my dads pick up well it’s not a gas saver and I have to say I don’t care to drive it but right now it’s my only form of transportation until I get mine fixed. Sinuses are doing much better today even from work they didn’t act up on me much. So I guess I’m on the road to recovery. Fine with me as I’m really ready to get this over with. HAPPY 2007

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well here we are two day s into the New Year and I’m just now updating my blog. Man there is so much to tell too so I guess I’ll start from last Friday. Boss was out of town and it was a smooth day until the storms came. Man it was raining so hard that water was coming in through the door jams. At time I thought a tornado had touched down as it did sound like a train was coming through. I normally take over the front desk after five for shift change and since it gets dark early I can’t see out from the tint on the windows. However stupid me was standing there in the doorway looking out to see what was going on outside. It kind of felt like a scene from a movie but when the lightening and thunder started I went and sat my black ass down and as far away from the windows and doors possible. I watched and the water poured in and it wasn’t a trickle either. By the time it was ready for me to do it had mostly passed but I knew it would be flooding on the roads so I took my time getting out of there and yes it was flooding. However when I got to downtown Houston there wasn’t a drop of water nor a sign that it was going to head this my way.

Saturday I lounged around the house and worked on my project some more, Second issue now. I only ventured out to get a bit to eat which was about it. I had to turn of the phone as my parent just won’t let me be on the weekend. It’s always something. I know it’s wrong the weekends are really the only time I can really get some project work done and with the anticipation of the primer issue about to launch well there is no slowing down at this point. Just making them understand that. It’s hard to stop what your doing to go check on them and then try to get back in a grove. So from now on I told them don’t call me unless they had the three B’s, Black, Blue or bloody. Sunday I worked a little but that day I usually read the paper and catch up on my videos. Since I work evenings I have to tape my shows I’ve recorded during the week. I was really dreading the night as it was New Years Eve. However I don’t know why as I didn’t have anyone to be with to be horizontal like most of the world would be doing shortly after the fire works. Of course I didn’t drink a thing. Since I had to be at work early the next day I wasn’t going to take the change that they would do a piss test on me. I sent out my well wishes on my favorite chat site to folks on my pal list and total strangers as I do like to pass it forward. So many responses the next that but it kept me busy throughout the say. Over 250 were waiting in my box and I answered every one of them.

Midnight came around and of course the fireworks were in effect since I don’t live in the city limits. I didn’t hear any gun shoots either so I was happy of that as what goes up will need to come down and I was happy to hear there were problems with that hitting anyone or worst getting killed from a falling bullet. I did hear that one came through the roof of a family and nearly hit a baby. I tell you we have some crazy folks in the world but then again if we didn’t the world wouldn’t go round. I finally went to bed and got up shortly after seven Monday morning and got ready for work. When I came out I was expected to see a lot of fireworks trash on the streets but to my surprise there wasn’t much. There was hardly anyone in the roads that day so it was a smooth drive to work. Loved it. Go tot work and I wasn’t in a good mood as I had to be there but no phones were ringing and no boss to get on my nerves so it was on. They served black eyed peas, greens and corn bread both lunch and dinner which was unusual for the kitchen. One of my co workers said they had it for breakfast as well. You talk about taking a tradition to far. That was over the top. However I was out of there come six and didn’t spare the horses on the vehicle when I drove off. Went over to may parents as they had the same but BBQ’d as well so it was a nice change. However Tuesday I was still feeling it. As much as I love meat after watching one of Oprahs shows (Yes I watch Oprah) that meat has to rotten in your stomach before you can digest it, well I can believe that as I said it was twenty four hours later and I was still burping the taste of BBQ. Then again that to will pass.

Got a letter from my ex who I have been mentioning in jail for Child molestation charges. I would have had it sooner but I didn’t check the mail on Saturday. It was good to hear he was doing ok since he clamed to have all these medical issue. Then gain I think he used that as a crutch when he and I were together. He did ask me to come see him since his mother was the only one coming to see him but you know I’m really not ready to see him as I feel betrayed on top of mislead. He said he has a lawyer but hasn’t met him yet, court appointed as I know what that means. He’s about to get railroaded. Now how much time he does, well that’s to be seen. For Sex offenders in Texas that’s usually eight to fifteen years but they may give him some slack since it’s his first offence. My thing is where will he go when he is ready to be released. Me I can’t see myself talking him in as he will have to register where he is marking my home for all kinds of trouble. Most of his family has abandoned him but I’ll be his friend but I won’t get suckered into financing his stay in prison. Since I worked for the state for fifteen years I know oh to well those tricks of the trade, However I do know how important for them to have some kind of pen pal on the outside. No word as to when he will go to trial either so I will keep all posted on that. Looks like I have another chapter to my story for next year’s publication.

Tuesday got up and started my exercise so I can look somewhat presentable for the Mardi Gras Ball in Lafayette Louisiana this coming February. I’m sure I will feel it in the morning but that’s the price we pay to stay in shape. I have a membership at Ballys that I have had since the 80’s but it’s such and hassle to get over there. However the dues are only eight bucks so it’s not I’m paying a fortune and I use the hot tube from time to time so I’m getting some moneys worth from it. Boss was back in and the place was moving quickly but good news is I had no intakes and I could catch up on the pile of work she had sitting there waiting on me. Good news she let work early as her computer was on the blink and it will need to be sent to headquarters to be fixed. I really don’t care talking to those folks down there cause they act like when you tell them something wrong with a something it’s like an act of congress to get them out or try and fix it live over the network. Because I have some computer smart my boss always call me in to see if I can fix the problem. Now we have to techs that get paid for that but yet none of them will call them but me. Well I do tell them I’m not the techie buddy and they need to call them. They then reply, yes I know but can you look at it anyway. Then I reply well you pay me that techie pay I will be happy to do so. Sounds crude but that’s what they get paid for and I shouldn’t have to stop what I’m doing to do their job. Over all it was a nice pleasant evening. Well that’s about it for now so until fingers meet keys may all have a Good one and Hope it was a very Happy New Year for you.
