Memorial Day Weekend

Hello My Friends.
Hope all are having a wonderful three day weekend and remembering out fallen brother of past as this is Memorial Day weekend. Recapping my Friday got to work and all the big wheels had taken off so it was a free day for sure and I have to say I didn’t do a damn thing. You could say I got paid for just being there. Didn’t rush the day either as if I did it would make the day longer. Was on bear411 and they had a server crash as it was starting to make my day roll a little longer as well but they got it fixed and the last few hours I was up and going again. So much so that time crept up on me and before I knew it 9:30 had rolled around.
I tried to Call Pete in Delaware but he was having a bad day today. Deal feel thought for him at closing and he tells me it was the attorneys fault. Real estate can be a tricky business but in the end the reward it great. One needs to how a home to make it in the world today. The rent thing to me just doesn’t appeal to me at all but I can see why some folks would rater rent than own.

I also tried to call Jon in Al as well but got now answer but I did leave a message. I have a thousand minutes on my phone and every month I loose about 600 to 700 minutes as most of my talking is on off peek time since I work evenings I’m not on the phone much during regular hours. I though about a lower plan but the fact of having the minutes gives me security plus I’m paying less than fifty bucks for them and get unlimited night and weekend minutes too. For the business I decided to go with Packet8 internet phone. When I priced a land line for the business I almost fell over. Vonage is 24. 99 and if want the business package it’s 49.99 a month. Packet8 is only 19.99 a month and the quality is good as I have tested it through a friend. Plus if I decide to move the business I don’t have to get a new number as the number would work off the internet. Plus Packet8 offered so much more than Vonage so that will be my choice.

I sent most of the day Saturday looking at plane reservation and planning my trips for July as I’ll be busy with project work at that time.  Not to mention looking for potential models as well. Was chatting with my friends in CA and WA as they have kids and looking forward to receiving some work from them on Gay dad. It should make some interesting reading for sure especially since more of the gay men my age or older did get married as it wasn’t so accepted to be gay back in the day. I’m feeling really good on the progress I’m making with this and At time have said I may need to throw in the towel but I guess that’s case of my dad. Speaking of him that’s for all you have been inquiring about him as he’s doing fine. He’s still in the hospital but it’s more like a rehab center as they’re teaching him how to sand and keep his balance and all. Diabetes has him where he hardly feels his legs so he’s leaning forward a lot and that’s throwing him off balance as well. Foot starting to heal and he’s not in pain anymore so he’s getting there. He’s finally decided to sale the cattle as I can’t keep up with them, work and business, it’s just to much,  since it’s his hobby he’s ready to give it up on that as he can’t be there week after week to take care of them either. However one of his old running buddies has been going up and taking car of then while he’s away.

No real special plans for the weekend. Going to an house warming party at one of my Bear friend new home he just bough. He’s got his other up for sale if anyone wants to buy a home. LOL It will be fun to spend a little time among other gay men and see some old friends and make some new ones as well. I asked my ex if he wanted to go as well but he’s got plans to spend Sunday with his mother. He said thanks for offering and he would love to go but he had already made the plans before I asked. It’s not going to be a problem as I’m kind of use to doing things alone theses days. I think my brother is going to BBQ on Monday as they’re out of school for summer. As a matter all three teachers in the family are out for the summer. However my sister will be working Summer school as to pay for some of the bills my nephew piled up during his unnecessary stays in the hospital. Meaning all that could have been prevented if he was taking care of himself. He’s dietetic as well and started with Juvenile diabetes and now that he’s twenty, well lets say he can’t do independent living. I have no idea what he’s going to do when he finishes college and that might be soon here as he didn’t go take his final I was told. So what’s going on with him I have no idea. It sounds cold but I’m just waiting to get that phone call telling me he’s passed because he wasn’t taking his medication or checking his sugar levels. If he thinks it’s going away he’s sadly mistaken.  My poor sister is just stressed to no end not to mention the rest of the family as well. I told her well you raised him and he’s an adult now there comes a time when you have to let go and I do believe she’s about to that point. We’ve all talked to him but still can’t get thorough to him. If he feels what’s in the streets are more important than his education, oh well.
