Hey All
It’s Monday morning and this is a short week as Good Friday and Easter Sunday are fast approaching. It really was a nice couple of days out as well. No rain and weather was just right. I have to work Good Friday for half a day and most likely spend the weekend at home since me and my folks are getting along still. Over all I has a good relaxing weekend. Got up Sunday morning and feeling like Hazel. LOL and ended up cleaning out two closets and the kitchen pantries. Still have the study to do but I have all week and next weekend to do that. Found some old clothes in one of the closet that are in very good condition and will be sending them to my ex’s oldest some. He can use them as he’s getting up in age and closer to my size as well. Found a lot of stuff that I will be donating to Purple Heart and Good Will. My brother and I put in the new dryer as the old one is still good as well however he was wondering what to do with it as it’s sitting in our Den at the moment. I told him to call Purple Heart and schedule a pick up during the times I’m here that way some needy family will be able to use it. It really feels good to give back to the community as well. If anyone in the Houston are knows of anyone that needs a dryer before we call Purple Heart to come get it please let me know.
I’m looking forward to my friend arriving in two weeks as I’ve taken the whole week of to spend quality time with him and show him some of our far city. My Brothers BF was in town this weekend on leave from the service, Also his BD this weekend as well so you know what was going on there for sure. I just kept my distance as always. Didn’t mow the yard this weekend but I see will have to do it during the week for sure as it’s starting to grow pretty fast now. Was suppose to trim the trees in the backyard but I’ve been a little lazy with that. Backyard since we don’t use it much we don’t take good care of it as we would the front. However Someday hope to start entertaining back there so we will have to get on it sometime soon. Right now with so much going on with me and project and dealing with family members well it can be a little over baring. Still I manage to stay focused and move ahead.
I talked to my best friend over the weekend as this time of year is pretty busy for him being a landscaper and all. He told me to pass by a mutual friend of ours who passed away two years ago and see what’s been going on. When I did I was floored. They had torn the place down as his father had sold the property and town homes were being built on it. The company that bought the land is a big developer and had town homes popping up all around the area. His was a prim spot as it was right behind a city park and on a main driving strip of road. I can’t tell you how sad I was to see it go but it wasn’t getting used as his father wasn’t living in the place and his sisters didn’t want the place either. I just hope he got a decent price for it. I do miss him but he’ll always be in our hearts and memories.
Not much else went on this weekend. As I said I had a nice relaxing one. I caught up on my video tapes and DVD’s that I rented as well. It was really nice to just relax and not have the phones bother you all the time. Did do some work on the project as well. Articles and a couple of ads that I need to get done. My editor who is out of town at the moment had been asking about some things and hopefully I took care of them this weekend as things are moving right along. Well that’s about it for now so until fingers meet keys. Hope all had a wonderful weekend as I know some of you did from chatting this morning. Big hugs to you all and hope to chat soon.
