Well it’s been about two weeks since I’ve written in here. Just haven’t been in a mood for writing here lately. Working my bread and butter job and then working on getting my business off the ground as well will take it’s toll on a person and I guess I’m stating to feel that way. However I do have vacation time coming as well as Comp time too so I can take good advantage of that for sure.
Weekends was good and have to say I had a nice time at that. I didn’t do much the first one as I had a very stressful week before that so I just cut off the phone and relaxed a bit. My father’s BD was on the 19th and I did call and wish him a happy BD. Made 71 now and happy to see him get there. He’s got his larks wheel chair now and rolling up a storm. You should see him take off down the side walk like a little three year old on a battery operated vehicle. I yell out POP (That’s what I call him) Where are you going? He just waves and said he’ll be back. LOL It’s good to see him get out more as well he seems to thrive when he’s out. We need to have a ramp built so he can get the chair up to the front door without him getting out of the chair to tilting it back so he can roll it over the step in front of the door to the house.
Testing phase is over for the website and there is still some tweaking to be done but I have been a little lazy these past couple of weeks as well. I guess the stress of having two jobs, one in which I’m not getting paid for as of yet I guess will do that. Still I’m passionate about it and striving to get things ready before my launch date. Speaking of work it’s really been crazy on the job as the system has to restructure the programs and it’s a lot of changes coming on. Well that’s about it for now so until fingers meet keys.

Friday. IT'S HERE!
Hello My Friends
Friday has finally arrived and I for one am glad it’s here. It’s been a really busy week for me but it’s all good so I keep going to making the best of it. Had to get up early to take my father to dialyses and I’m still a little groggy as I don’t normally get up this early in the morning since I work evenings my bed time is two AM. Still it’s all good and got him squared away.
Good news got the site up and running as I’m in the testing phase of it right now also got my money back from the first hosting company as they have a 90 guarantee and I only had the account for 21 days. So that was a blessing for sure. Don’t feel like I was douped now. Between work and getting the business off the ground it’s like I have two jobs. Well in a since I do. LOL However I’m starting to get hyped about my venture now that the website has taken form and on line. Editor gave me some work for the weekend to do on it and I’ll take care of that very soon. Folks can now start taking me seriously now but I know I have a long way to go still.
Got ten new intakes this week as we’re rushing to get about twenty out this weekend. Released seven this pass hump day and I have to say we where humping for sure. Hadn’t been that busy in a while. Well I take that back when we have heavy home visitation so I guess we’re sort of use to it. Today we have a little less that half the population available to go home for that three day weekend so it’s going to be busy there as well. My co worker is still out of sick leave and was told he wasn’t going to return until the twenty forth of this month. Oh well. I’ve been coving as much as I can but not a lot getting done in the department for sure. We do have and alternate but he was off last weekend for Valentines Day so maybe he will cover that this weekend.
No big plans this weekend. The All Stars game is being held here this weekend as Houston is really getting it’s popularity these past few years. Mardi Gras will start here soon on the Island. With all the Katrina evacuees here and the trouble we’ve been having with them here I’m really wondering how this Mardi Gras is going to turn out. Will there be trouble or run smoothly this year. Not to mention what it the one in New Orleans going to be like after the devastation. The Live stock show and Rodeo will kick off on the twenty eight. Lots of Broke Backs coming to town for sure. Since I don’t do bookstores maybe I’ll get lucky at the Bath House or as we call it the SPA. Haven’t been there in a while either but when you have a few good looking Cowboys coming to town oh well, just can’t pass up that opportunity. LOL Houston has two in the city and one I just won’t attend as it’s all pretty boy and lots of modeling going on there. It’s a new building about three years old I would say built from the ground up the other is more relaxed atmosphere and easy to get along with the folks as they’re not all out to outdo one another in looks and competition.
Well that’s about it for today I hope all have a wonderful weekend as I will make the best of mine for sure. Since the All Stars Game is being held here I’ll be star gazing as well. My boy Chad Hedrick won his gold on Saturday and the three man team lost out to the Italians on Wednesday in the pursuit competition. He mentioned that was going to be his hardest event. However still he has a change for three more gold metals so I wish him well. Saw the award ceremony on the internet and I did get teary eyed as he did because I know how hard he worked to get to that moment. If only his grandmother could have seen him, but we know she’s watching down on him. Paul was looking pretty good too in his black Cowboy hat and making a bold statement as well. He still looks good even though I never got in them pants. Will call him for sure when the family returns to the state. Well that’s about it for now so until fingers meet keys. Hope all have a wonderful weekend as I will try and get some rest as well as catch up on my videos. I’m so behind in that area plus I need to tapes too. HEHEHHEHEHE. Valentines Day
Hello My Friends
Hope all are well and doing good. As for me I’m doing very well here. Been a long and fast pace weekend at best. Monday I finally go the web project up and running and although there are still some issues with it I’m in the testing phase right now and the reports have started pouring in. I had 47 IMs in my box when I logged in mostly good and some bad but I welcome it all as it will help me produce a better product.
Saturday morning I had to put brakes on my Vehicle as I started hearing the grinding Friday evening. I was really worried as the temperature was to drop to 29 that morning and me freezing my ass off in the garage but I lucked out as the temp went up to about 55 to 60 plus I had a heater in the garage to help keep me warm as well. It took about two and a half hours and normally it wouldn’t take that long but I’ve never had to work on this vehicle in that manner before so I was still learning my way around it. I have to say three years now and no major work is an accomplishment for sure. Since I was under it I went ahead and changed the oil and filter as well. Time consuming since I didn’t have a hydraulic jack that would lift my vehicle. Got two of them in the garage and either one would lift the damn things. When I had my Honda it was no problem as it was a much lower vehicle but the SUV is much higher so it was out with the crank jack. Man was I sore after dealing with that not to mention my back was bothering me as well. Lucky I have a father who was a mechanic and Truck drive so he taught me well. Maybe it’s why I keep a vehicle so long too.
I got my Taxes done in Saturday night as well and very pleased with the return too. Much better than last years as the part time job hurt me but this year is the road to recovery so it’s all good. Will put the funds to good use as well since I’m attempting the business it will surely head in that direction. Sunday got up and waiting for them hosting company to direct my site and still no luck was told later in the evenings. I went to lunch and then the RV show with my Best friend Steve. Later that evening when I returned home I had a message from my ex’s kids asking me if I would sale some candy for them at my job for their little league. Of course I couldn’t refuse them so I picked up two boxes to sale at work. Going well actually about the half the boxes are sold. So that was the extent of my weekend.
Monday I decided to play hooky from work and work on the last of the web project. Was working so hard that I almost for got to eat. Good way to go on a diet for sure. LOL I had to try a few new things before I decided which layout I wanted to go with. I will be placing a link here tool so all can view it. Valentines Day to day and I’ve been getting Happy Valentines Day greeting most of the day. Thanks to all my friends. Glad to know I’m thought of as well. I have to say my day off was time well spent and I feel very rested. I do hope all had a wonderful weekend as well. Looking forward to hearing from you all and keep those IMs and emails coming my friends. Hope all have a good week as well. So until fingers meet keys all have a good one as I will do the same.

Gloomy Friday
Hey All
Hope all are doing well on this Friday morning. I woke up this morning to a very gray and gloomy morning as it’s been misting and raining off and on. Today is my mothers BD and she turns 70 today. I picked her up a bouquet of flowers with a candle base so when the flowers are gone she can burn the candles. Going to drop it off at her job shortly afternoon as she’ll enjoy that. My father had a battery of test yesterday and was the results are good. He’s in good health for his age. He got his larks wheel chair last week and now we have to have a rape built for him to roll the thing in and out the front door. Small steps that the larks can’t maneuver over. However he’s been using it in the house here and there.
Well my ex called me late yesterday and some what apologized for his actions on Wednesday night. We talked about it and the same thing I told him he told the school so I guess he’s learning and starting to listen too. Still he has a ways to go when it comes to taking advice from other as he doesn’t know it all. Still I’m his friend as he’s mind but I won’t put up with that BS like I did in the past in fear of loosing him as I was blinded by love. One never stops caring for someone you’ve been so close to but there is a time when one has to move on and I have done so and maybe why I wasn’t so upset or try to call him back after he did what he did. Let nature take it’s course as I see it besides I can’t be distracted by minor stuff like that as I have a business to get off the ground and won’t be bothered by that. Well enough of the venting.
Work should go by smoothly as we have 16 graduating and being released today. However I’m not looking forward to next week as they will probable send me 16 more to take the place of the ones we released. I only received 4 this week so it was mostly catch up week for me. My team partner is still out on medical leave and I guess he’s going to milk it for what it’s worth. Well as long as he has the time I can’t see why not. He’s also the one who has kind of taken interest in me sexually as well. However I have been blowing off his advances as I don’t want to get involved with a married man. I just don’t want to be his experiment or freak that he can’t get at home. I’ll admit he’s handsome and muscle husky the way I like them but that’s not going to happen with me and him. Let someone else be his boy toy this time. Well that’s about it for now as I’m getting ready for work as well. So until fingers meet keys, hope all have a wonderful day and an even wonderful weekend. Weekend Just About Here
Hello All
Well its Wednesday hump day and I have to say it was an easy day at that. I hope all are having a good week as it’s just two more days left to this one. Was a waken by my tax man at ten minutes to eight this morning so I could set up an appointment on Saturday to do my taxes. It was way to early in the morning for me as I told him he should have called me after ten this morning. However we got a laugh out of it since I was up and getting my faculties together we set a time on Saturday evening to take care of things. It will be good to get that out of the way. Taping the Grammies as I’ll be at work when it comes on. Since I have a rhythm for music it’s just as much my night as it is theirs. Not many folk take to the but oh well we all have our likes and dislikes. I had the third of six meeting today and the food was right on time as I was really hungry when I arrived however I didn’t want to be a hog during the lunching and had a little snack before we started the meeting. It was a long meeting this time as we had guest come in to speak and cover the graduation of 16 residents this coming Friday. As we all put it we’re ready to get them out of there as well. I’ll be happy to see them leave but I know headquarters will be sending me 16 more to take they’re place so I know it’s going to be a humping week next week.
Tomorrow the new hosting company will have my new web address and site ready to go and as much as I’d like to work on it tomorrow it will have to wait as I have to take my father to the doctors’ office and that will take most of the morning. I told them on the job I would be late for work tomorrow as the FMLA will cover that. Way to early for me to be getting up so I will be going to bed pretty early tonight so I can get up and take him. I called him tonight and he didn’t sound too good, talking fast and things so maybe we will find something out there. I know his dialysis drains him but he’s on it like clock work. He’s a tuff old man and I’m proud to say he’s my POP.
Tonight talking to my ex he told me that his oldest son was suspended from school for two days today. Some kids had been picking on him and calling him names as this has been going on for a year now and his son took action and pushed the other kid. Well to me he crossed the line when he pushed the other kid and was suspended for it. However my ex justifies that his son has been suspended but the fact that his child was suspended and nothing done to the other kids for causing the problem in the first place is what he’s so upset about and will not listen to reason other wise. So in the process of me explaining to him what his son should do the next time, he decided to hang up on me as he didn’t want to hear what I had to tell him more less wanting me to agree with his side. Well at that point the damage has been done and his oldest is no angle either. However if the child doesn’t feel safe he needs to tell someone and if that doesn’t work he needs to go to the principles office and that’s where he needs to stay. He wants punishment done to the other kids for making starting the mess in the first place but we do have the first amendment, FREEDOM OF SPEECH and I can’t seem to get him to understand that. In the meantime my ex should have been going to the school board and superintendent of the school district if he feels his child isn’t getting proper treatment. That way he’s followed the chain and if that doesn’t work he needs to go to the media. There is no need for a child to have to sit there and be heckled day after day. The way I see it his son crossed the line and he was suspended for it. Now if the other kids didn’t get detention I can’t explain that. Just don’t yank him out of school and say you’re going to home school him when you can’t do the work yourself. Oh well it’s beyond me and even though I care for the child he’s not mind and I won’t get involved in that. I didn’t get mad for him hanging up on me as it’s nothing to get mad over. Looks like they both have some learning to do still. If he can’t listen to reason and still trying to get revenge on the other kids then he’s got the problem not me or his son. He’ll call me in a few days and wanting to talk and I’ll be that civil person mother taught me to be as I can forgive and forget and not hold grudges as life is to short but no one said I had to put up with it that’s for sure.
Going to the RV show this weekend with my best friend Sunday and it aught to be fun as well actually looking forward to it. I mention that I’m getting my Taxes done this Saturday and the Hosting will be ready as well. So I can start transferring files there and start giving my friends the Web address to hear they’re opinions and comments. Not many going home this weekend so I should be able to get a little work caught up. When she leaves I make sure I spay and wipe things down the area as I take over her desk when she leaves with disinfectant to make sure I don’t contract any of the germs. She’s good people and I love her to death but when it come to passing off your germs like that well it’s a different story. Still she understands. Well that’s about it for my venture today. My team partner has been out of medical leave and my work wife has been sick with something bring it to work with her as I hope I don’t catch it. I don’t need to be sick with anything. When she leaves I make sure I spay and wipe things down the area as I take over her desk when she leaves with disinfectant to make sure I don’t contract any of the germs. She’s good people and I love her to death but when it come to passing off your germs like that well it’s a different story. Still she understands. Well that’s about it for my venture today. I do hope all had a wonderful day as well and have good plans for the weekend too. Looking forward to hearing from you all as always. Do take care as I will do the same. Early Monday Morning
Hello My Friends.
Well It’s Monday and I have to say I had a nice weekend. Went to my meeting on Saturday at the job then had another meeting with my editor as well as a meeting with a friend I know who does Taxes as I don’t want to have an issue with taxes once I get this project really off the ground. The one the web hosting issues for surely was enough. However I have taken care of that small nightmare and moving forward. The site should be up and running this coming weekend and to all my friend who have been tireless waiting to see it, will be good to get this up and going. Sunday I took my ex to the auto show for a belated BD present along with the kids as he couldn’t find a sitter. Long story there but it was all good as we had a great time anyway. The twins that are 6 got a little restless towards the end as we where reaching our third hour but once we hit the kiddy section they quickly changed their tune. I have to say I was literally exhausted especially coming from my corrections back ground as I’m use to counting heads to make sure all the inmates where accounted for and things applied in this case too, for in a place that large keeping track of three little ones was a job in itself as I was constantly counting heads to make sure they all where with us as they would and will wonder off. More Distracted than anything. After returning home and getting the kids feed and down for the evening he and I went to dinner while granny kept the kids until we got back as they wouldn’t’ be much trouble as they all where out for the evenings. I have to give myself credit as I didn’t make an advance toward him at all the whole evenings. He hinted at it a couple of times but when it came down to it I thanked him for a good evening as he thanked me for the outing and I made my way home.
I keep getting this question form folks all the time asking do I still have feeling for him. We’ll I’d be lying if I said I didn’t. When you’ve been with someone as closely as I have and give of yourself too one doesn’t stop loving that person. I guess for some it maybe true but I wasn’t raised that way and life is too short to be holding grudges. I’m one to forgive and maybe forget and move on. I’ll always care for him but as far as being in love with him I’m not at that level anymore. I have moved on in my life. I also found out this weekend that his sugar daddy is flying him to Hawaii to be there with him during the spring break holidays. I have to say I was jealous but I’m not in no way mad at all.
I’ve got a busy schedule this week on top of getting the house ready for spring. Going though things and getting rid of last years stuff and spring cleaning the house as well. My mothers BD is this Friday so I will get her a basket of flowers and card and drop it off at her job. That usually makes her feel good plus she shows off for her co workers as well that her kids would drop off gifts. Thursday I’m taking my dad to another doctor’s appointment they’re going to do a brain scan to make sure he doesn’t have a brain tumor. I’ll be going to work late that day as I’ll let them know today. Well that’s about it for now the day is just beginning for me so until fingers meet keys. First Day of Second Month
Hell All
Well we’re in the second month of the year and it’s my parents Anniversary today, 46 years now and my ex’s BD as well, 44 for him. I had to take my dad to the doctor early Tuesday morning in which is mess up my whole day on top of me being upset over my web hosting company. Frustrated, angry, mad, pissed are words that come to mind. Lesson learned there but a costly one as I’m tired of paying for them out of pocket. I really can’t get mad as I saw the signs when I couldn’t find a phone number to talk to a real person to set up or for support. Went through that back in 99 when I set up a website for the company me and my business partner at the time set up. Email is fine but when you it takes you seven to ten hours to answer them there is a problem. Not to mention when I did find a phone number for them all I got was a recording and I left a few messages two days ago as I haven’t gotten a response yet. Yes I’m upset that I lost funds but not upset as to what I could have lost. Something told me not to set up for a year and I’m glad I did follow my instincts and didn’t. I guess I did see the signs and just ignored them and I did pay for it. For someone coming from a corrections environment where you’re always on your toes I really let my guard down this time. Then again I’m only human but still no excuse that’s for sure. Minor set back as it’s throwing my schedule off a little bit but I’ll recover. Will be sending the company a letter and fax here shortly that I will no longer require they’re services and why, after I have the new account with a new company and 24 hour support. So I’m looking at next week sometime for the site to be up and running. Hopefully the phone service and P.O. box will be ready as well.
Got free tickets to the Auto show and since it was my Ex’s BD I’ll treat him to that as a belated BD gift. It should be a nice time as I went this past Sunday with my Brother and Best friend Steve. A lot of walking as it usually takes three hours or more to do the whole show. The first of the month and I have the second of six meeting a month again at work this coming Saturday. Had the first one today and it was a very good one. My superintendent’s BD was on Monday and she took the day off. We planed a surprised party for her and she was surprised at that not to mention grateful that we all remembered. All in my department chipped in and got her some nice gift. Ladies stuff. The food was on as it was a pot luck type things where everyone brings a covered dish. Usually would have cooked something but everyone was bring food and stuff so I made a spinach salad with Zesty Italian dressing and walnuts. Needless to say there was nothing left if it. There was friend chicken, fajitas and enchiladas, and chicken strips. Lots of fruit and vegetable platters, breads, dips potato salad, chips, Finger foods and well as soda ice cream and of course the BD cake. We ate till we couldn’t eat anymore as not much was done cause we where all so full. I even had to pass on dinner as I was still full not to mention walking the building trying to walk it all off. LOL
Called my folks later in the day to wish them a Happy Anniversary as well as my sister as she forgot what day it was, can you blame her as she has enough on here hands with my nephew? She’s made up here mind that next year he won’t be attending college there as he can’t do what he needs to do like take care of his health and she tells me his grades are falling off as well. Just five more month and we’ll see what happens. I called my ex too and wish him well. He treated himself to a massage today so he should be feeling really relaxed for sure. It’s good that he and I can remain good friends over all. Something most folk can’t do especially after a break up. We forgive it but don’t forget and don’t hold grudges either.
February for me is usually a trying month as a lot does go on for me in this month. For example; my parents’ anniversary and my ex’s BD are on the first. My ex skating coach, yes I said skating coach who son is now skating for the U.S. Olympic ice skating speed team and broke three world records, you already know I will be watching the Speed skating events this month as I’ve known the child since he was born. Anyway his dads’ BD is the second. I’ll give him a call tomorrow as I always do that on his BD to stay in touch as I don’t see them too often anymore. I grew out of the skating theme. My mothers’ BD is on the 10th and my fathers’ is on the 19th. Valentines Day is the 14th of course and another good friend. Her BD is on the 13th so I have my work cut out for me this month on top of it being black history month too, Programs at work for the kids.
Over all I can say it’s been a wonderful day and I rolling right along here. Hope all had a wonderful day as well as I did and hope all have good plans for the weekend too. As I mentioned earlier I’m talking my ex to the Auto Show as it will be a good outing for him and a little time away from the kids as well. Don’t plan on doing any hanky panky as he’s really been hurting these past few weeks. I’ve seen the swelling on one of his shoulders and he’s not kidding about his pain situation. I just hope he’ll be able to make the rounds of the show. It doesn’t matter as I’ve done it last weekend but may take the camera this time to snap some pictures. There where so many folks there last weekend I felt uncomfortable but folk where somewhat polite and that’s one thing I do like about Houston is we have some friendly folk here. Well that’s about it for now so until fingers meet keys all have a good one and looking forward to hearing from you all. Hugs.
