Sunday, Two Days After

Hello All
Hope all are doing well on this Fine Sunday afternoon. Weather here is great in the mid 60’s and sunny out. There are 21 more days to a new year and 14 days till Xmas. Just ready to get it all over with and start a new year for sure. Went to the company Xmas party on Friday as I may have mentioned already and Saturday I felt it from all the shaking and dancing I did. Haven’t moved like that in years so I know I need to get back to the gym so I can start putting my body in some better physical condition. I love to dance but of course I had to tone it down as not to give away myself to the entire Harris County probation department as there were some of the big wheels attending. The room was a little warm as they had the heat turned up but more so from all of attendance. Have to say it was a very large turn out with door prizes and things. Ran into folks I hadn’t seen in years and reacquainted myself with them as well. Over all I had a wonderful time and the food was great as well. Saturday I didn’t do a hell of a lot as I was catching up on my Video from the past two weeks. Since I work evenings I don’t get to watch prime time like the majority of folks so I have to tape my shows, like all of the CSI’s, Without A Trace, Alias, (Love me some Sidney Bristow) Criminal Minds, Family Amazing Race, Ghost Whispers and of course my girl Oparh and the local news. LOL Seems they canceled my show Threshold or it hasn’t been on lately. Still waiting for the last season of the Sopranos but they won’t be on until next year in March. (Love me some Tony Soprano as well. He’s a big old bear and all eyes when he does a sex scene, good thing I tape huh?)The news maybe late but at least I’m up to date. I usually try to catch up on the internet news while at work so I’m not too far behind as to what’s going on in the city. I had gotten so behind that I had 11 video tapes on my television, Down to five now. Will finish them off today and then start the process all over again. LOL Haven’t been writing lately as I’ve been having writers block but I find if I give it some time it comes back to me and with a vengeance as well. So it’s all good. Since the project is still a ways off I have nothing to worry about at this time. Besides I should have enough material to last me for two years when I do get this off the ground. Just have to get them off to the editor so he can start working on that and I can make the corrections as well. If it wasn’t for spell check I’d be up the creek without a paddle. Good thing I was able to find him and he’s willing to do it for so little as my budget will be limited until I get this off the ground for sure. I’ve come to terms that I will be along this Xmas but looking back and still having my folks around makes it special in itself as one day they will be gone so I will enjoy them while they have this time on earth. Again I am very blessed to have then for so long and even though at times I may not show it to them I do cherish them for being the wonderful parents they have been to me the rest of the family. I think back on the struggles and sacrifices they’ve gone through to get to where they area and I do have to credit my mother for being the back bone of the family as he had a vision and made it happen. Maybe where I get my determination and drive from. At least she can go to hear grave and know that all three of her kids can take care of themselves. Something I will always thank her for doing is keeping us off the streets and keeping a tight ring on us all.  Right now I just want to put 2005 behind me as it was a bad year from me from day one. Keeping faith that 2005 would get better it just got worst as the year went on so this coming year I will hit the gate off right and work to maintain that though out the year. After all life is what we make and challenges and if we’re not up for the challenge then we’ll fail every time. Not saying I failed this year but the challenges where so emotionally at times and not wanting anyone to know of some of my trials just made it work as I continued to try to keep up appearances. Lesson learned for sure. Well that’s about it for now, I hope all are finishing off the weekend on a good note and look forward to hearing from you all again soon.
